Astra Honda Motor (AHM) as the distributor and manufacturer of Honda motorcycle in Indonesia, recently lunched a new scooter called as “Honda ADV150.”
This “baby” X-ADV will be tagged with affordable price as it is an 150 cc scooter. The engine is a 149.3 cc SOHC water cooled producing maximum power of 14.5 horse power at 8500 RPM and torque 13.2 Nm at 6500 RPM. This engine is also used in Honda PCX.
Honda ADV150, just like the name, it aims people who love to travel and doing adventure with a scooter or you know; motorcycle touring.
The design is just really good because it is very similar to the big brother; Honda X-ADV.
The dual headlights are following the Honda sport bike design such as Honda CBR650R and Honda CBR500R.
There are many things cool about this Honda ADV150; full digital odometer, adjustable windshield, sporty shrouds, large storage, rear dual Showa suspensions, cool stop-lamp, and of course the dual purpose tyres.
The price however, based on the rumour, it will be more affordable than the Honda PCX. It almost doesn’t make sense because the Honda ADV150 looks much more “expensive” than the PCX.
Well, I know nothing about how much the cost of the manufacturing for both bikes. Maybe the cost of PCX150 is higher, or maybe… Maybe the AHM don’t take too much profit from the ADV150.
Anyway.. Yamaha will soon launch the All New NMax, it is the real rival to the PCX150. And I am now thinking and considering to get one of those..
If the specs and riding quality of this Honda ADV150 is great, maybe… just maybe, I will certainly choose ADV over the others.
