New Honda CBR600RR 2021, a more comfortable Super Sport!
On August 21, 2020, Honda Motor Japan officially released information about their latest sportbike, the Honda CBR600RR 2021.
The CBR600RR is equipped with a 4-cylinder inline engine with a 599cc capacity with liquid cooling. Different from the previous gen, the Honda CBR600RR MY 2021 is now equipped with electronic control features and better aerodynamic technology.
The CBR600RR 2021 engine produces power output of 89kW or 121 PS at 14,000 RPM, higher than the previous gen thanks to an increase in RPM, made possible due to better component materials. The torque itself is 64 Nm at 11,500 RPM.
Thanks to the use of the Throttle by wire system, the CBR600RR is now equipped with electronic controls and has a riding mode that can be selected according to road conditions or needs.
Some of the CBR600RR features are Full LED system, dashboard screen using color TFT-LCD, emergency stop signal, Assist and Slipper clutch, and equipped with Quick Shifter to up shifting and down shifting gears faster.
With a 600cc engine and high power, the fuel consumption of the Honda CBR600RR is still relatively economical, reaching 23.5 km per liter when running constantly, and up to 17.3 km per liter in WTMC mode. The tank capacity is 18 liters, so with a constant speed of 60 kph, it can travel up to 423 km. But it is almost impossible for a motorbike this fast to be driven at 60 Km/ hour.
The Honda CBR600RR MY 2021 has dimensions of length 2030 mm, width 685 mm and height 1140 mm. The Ground Clearance is 125 mm with a seat height of 820 mm, quite friendly when compared to its rivals; Yamaha R6 and ZX6R.
The weight of the Honda CBR600RR MY 2021 is 194 Kg with all the needs ready for the road.
Honda CBR600RR MY 2021 uses tires size 120/70 at the front and 180/55 at the rear. Both are of course using 17 inch rings like standard sportbikes. There is a dual hydraulic disk in front for the braking, and behind is using single disc. Then the front suspension uses an Inverted telescopic fork, and behind is using a suspension with Pro-Link.
There is no information regarding the price of the Honda CBR600RR MY 2021. Currently only one color is available, namely RWB (Red White Blue).
